Follow The Directions

01

Step
2 mins

In a large bowl, whisk together the milk and dark chocolate pudding mixes until well combined. (2 minutes)

02

Step
5 mins

Allow the mixture to sit for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.

03

Step
0 mins

Gently stir in 3 tablespoons of the shredded coconut and 2 tablespoons of the mini dark chocolate chips.

04

Step
0 mins

Spoon the pudding mixture evenly into the chocolate cookie crumb crust.

05

Step
20 mins

Refrigerate the pie for at least 20 minutes, or until the filling is set.

06

Step
5 mins

While the pie is chilling, prepare the topping. In a small, dry pan over low heat, toast the remaining shredded coconut and slivered almonds, stirring frequently, until lightly browned and fragrant. (5 minutes)

07

Step
0 mins

Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

08

Step
0 mins

Once the pie is set, remove it from the refrigerator and spread the thawed whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer.

09

Step
0 mins

Sprinkle the toasted coconut and almonds, remaining mini dark chocolate chips, and chopped Mounds candy bar evenly over the whipped topping.

10

Step
0 mins

Drizzle with chocolate sauce to taste.

11

Step
3 hrs

Refrigerate the pie for at least 3 hours, or until ready to serve. This allows the flavors to meld together beautifully.

For a more intense coconut flavor, lightly toast the shredded coconut before adding it to the pudding mixture.
If you don't have a Mounds bar, a similar coconut-filled chocolate candy bar will work well.
Feel free to adjust the amount of chocolate sauce to your liking. White chocolate sauce would also be delicious!
For a richer pie, use full-fat coconut milk in place of the milk.
